PSWS Trainee Wellbeing Event

Trainee wellbeing has been an important topic of discussion for many years, but it was particularly developed over the last two years since the beginning of the COVID-19 pandemic.


The HEE Thames Valley Professional Support and Wellbeing Service (PSWS) is organising their Trainee Wellbeing Event as an opportunity to promote the good work and projects developed by trainees across the region, while we hope to promote the local support offer to our trainees.


We are planning an afternoon event which will include the presentation of local trainee wellbeing projects, associated to a keynote speaker session with Adam Kay and workshops.


Date: 28th of March 2022 from 12:30 to 17:00

Venue: Holiday Inn, Pear Tree Roundabout, Woodstock Road, Oxfordshire, OX2 8JD


Travelling by car: Just off the A34 – Parking is available but limited space if parking at the Hotel – To view map click here
Park and Ride: Short walk from the Pear Tree Park & Ride Bus Service (300) – charges will apply when parking here. For further information click here
Train: Oxford Parkway train station is a 5 minute car drive or alternatively take the Park & Ride Bus Service (300) from the train station

Programme:

  • 12:30 – Lunch

  • 13:30 – Dean welcome message & presentation of short-listed regional trainee wellbeing projects

  • 14:15 – Session with Adam Kay followed by prize announcement

  • 14:45 – Tea Break

  • 15:15 – Parallel Wellbeing Workshops (45 mins each; participants can attend 2 sessions)

    • Pilates/Yoga

    • Midfulness

    • Training work/life balance – rotas, contracts, LTFT changes

  • 17:00 – Close of the day


  • Only 75 places available, to be allocated on a first come first served basis

  • For all trainees, in foundation and all specialties, across the Thames Valley region

  • Deadline for registration: 11th March 2022 at 23:59
